16-07-2020 : Puducherry on Thursday reported 147 new covid-19 cases, taking the overall tally to 1743 cases in Puducherry UT.
58 patients recovered and were discharged today.
A nine-month old boy from Muthialpet died of COVID-19 in Puducherry on Thursday. The child was admitted to the Rajiv Gandhi Government Women and Child hospital here with complaints of diarrhea yesterday and tested positive for the virus and died. The Health department has stepped up efforts to trace the source of infection for the baby. The death of the child indicated that age is not a factor to reckon with for the patients falling victims to the dreaded infection, said The Health department Director
• IGMCRI: 68 new positive Cases got admitted. 30 positive cases recovered and discharged. At present, 379 active Covid patients are in IGMC&RI
• JIPMER: 60 new positive Cases got admitted.14 positive cases recovered and discharged. Totally 177 active cases are in admission at present.
• Covid Care Center : Today 19 cases transferred to Covid Care centers. 13 positive cases recovered. At present 117 cases in DCCC.
• Karaikal – 12 new cases reported today. At present 67 active cases at GH.
• Mahe: At present 1 active cases in GH Mahe.
• Yanam: 7 new covid positive cases got admitted today. 1 patients recovered and discharged today. At present 33 active cases at GH Yanam

• Totally 947 Covid patients recovered and discharged in UT Puducherry till date.
